Most small firms find out about a bench after it closes.

Once a list closes, it can be years before it opens again — and task orders only go to firms already on it. The information is public, just scattered.

Dozens of portals

City departments, the County, Metro, the ports, LAWA and LAUSD each post in a different place, on a different schedule.

Short windows

Qualification rounds and task orders often give you two to four weeks. Miss the posting and you miss the cycle.

Too much noise

Generic bid alerts mix roof repairs and software renewals with the handful of solicitations that actually fit your disciplines.

How it works

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. The gap report and weekly digest are free during the beta. If we add paid features later, beta members will hear about it first — nothing changes without your say.

Where does the information come from?

From solicitations that public agencies post on their own procurement portals and websites. We summarize the key facts and always link to the official posting — please confirm details there before you submit.

Are you affiliated with any government agency?

No. PrequalMap is an independent service. We don't submit bids for you and we don't have inside information — we just make public postings easier to track.

Who is this for?

Small and mid-sized engineering, environmental, planning, surveying and design firms that pursue public work in LA County — especially certified small businesses building a pipeline of on-call contracts.

How do I unsubscribe or update my profile?

Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. To change your disciplines or certifications, just reply to any email or write to hello@prequalmap.com.
